INTRO: G - D - Ds4 - C9 x4

G Bm C
Now Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly and the Spiders
     D
from Mars

                  G Em
He played it left hand but made it too far

           A C
became the special man then we were Ziggy's Band

G Bm C
Ziggy really sang, screwed up eyes and screwed down hairdo

                     D G
like some cat from Japan, he could lick 'em by smiling, he could leave 'em
   Em
to hang

           A C
Came on so loaded man, well hung and snow white tan

Am G F G Am G F G
So where were the Spiders - - while the rats tried to break our balls

Am G F
Just the beer light to guide us

      D E
So we bitched about his fans and should we crush his sweet hands

G - D - Ds4 - C9 x4

G Bm C
Ziggy played for time, jibing us that we were voodoo, the kids were just
D
crass
           G Em
He was the nazz with God given ass

           A C
He took it all to far but boy could he play guitar

Am G F G Am G F G Am G
Making love with his ego, Ziggy sucked up into his mind, like a leper
   F
messiah

         D E
When the kids had killed the man, I had to break up the band oooh

G - D - Ds4 - C9 x2

G D Ds4 C9 G D Ds4
Oh yeah, Oooo oooo

C9 G
Now Ziggy played Guitaaaaaaaaaar

C9 Riff = 032033, 020033, 000033. This creates an easy transition into
and from the surrounding chords. Some of the chords are accented by lifting
fingers off but this is as close as I could get. The original is a half
step down from this version but I find it easier to play like this.
