Husker Du – Celebrated Summer tab ver. 2

@Song: Celebrated Summer
Written by Bob Mould
Recorded by Husker Du on album "New Day Rising" (SST)
File format: tab
Transribed by Gary Von Colln

This song has a little bit of everything: loud parts and quiet parts,
power chords, double string riffs, and single string picking. It
shows a nice use of chord substitution. The verse chords start as
D/C/G/A. The second time through the first and third chords are
replaced with their respective VIm, thus Bm/C/Em/A. The interlude has
an interesting picking pattern and "drone" note, the high D. The song
sounds good as a solo accoustic piece, in which case I usually play
the chords in their open positions (except for Bm). On electric
guitar, it sounds good to mix up the open chords with some bar chords.
I'm not sure what mix is used on the recording, but I think the Em and
A chords used in Reiif C are played open.
