Ronnie Lane – Dont You Cry For Me tab

Don?t You Cry For Me
(Ronnie Lane)

Great song from Ronnie's first post-Faces outing "Anymore for Anymore." This
sounds about right to me, though I'm sure there are a few nooks and rut left to
work out, but this should suffice for now. If you have the guitar capoed up on
the third fret, it sounds like the best tuning to Ronnie's original to me, though
I'm not amazingly musical, either, so...

-Capo 3rd fret-

Intro - G, C, Am7

          G C Am7
Don?t you cry for me
                       G C Am7
Don?t want me ?cos I?m going
            G C Am7
If what you say is true
                     G C Am7
You?d only wish we?d married

             Am Em C D
Well all the things I loved that you put down
             Am Em C D
Well they?ll all seem near when I?m not around
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I will
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I will

             G C Am7
It?s time to make a change
                     G C Am7
Don?t want to hurt nobody
            G C Am7
The day has been too long
                     G C Am7
I?m restless and I?m weary

            Am Em C D
Now you can wear your broken hearted badge
    Am Em C D
And be so good and I?m so bad
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I am
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I am

-Sax solo-

            Am Em C D
Now you can wear your broken hearted badge
    Am Em C D
And be so good and I?m so bad
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I am
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I am

                        G C Am7
I hoped that time would send
		            G C Am7
All the love that I?ve been waiting
                   G C Am7
And free me like a bird
                              G C Am7
From this cage that I?ve been making

             Am Em C D
Oh well I?ll take the storm and all its ways
    Am Em C D
And be calm for all my days
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I will
          G C Am7
Oh, yes I will
