Jamey Johnson – In Color tab
When looking at the tabs already posted for this song, i noticed one was capoed at the 3rd fret and the other was in the actual key played with no capo. A nice way to play this in the right key with simple chords(no bar) is capoed on the 1st fret. The lyrics and chord positions are credited to Awsm_Guitarist9. i simply changed the chords to be played with a capo at the 1st fret. when you listen to the song it sounds like its played with a capo at the 3rd fret, but this way the chords are a little easier to play and sing along with (the chords are still correct). Jamey Johnson - In Color, from the album: That Lonesome Song CAPO 1 (Verse 1) A I said grandpa whats this picture here G Its all black and white it aint real clear D Is that you there? A He said yeah i was 11 A Times were tough back in '35 G Thats me and uncle Joe just tryin to survive D A A cotton farm in the great depression. (Chorus) A If it looks like we were scared to death G D Like a couple of kids just trying to save each other A You should've seen it in color. (Verse 2) Ohh and this one here was taken over seas In the middle of hell in 1943 In the winter time you can almost see my breath That was my tail gunner ole Johnny Magee He was a high school teacher from new Orleans And he had my back right through the day we left. (Chorus) If it looks like we were scared to death Like a couple of kids just trying to save each other You should've seen it in color. A picture's worth a thousand words But you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered You should've seen it in color (Verse 3) This one is my favorite one. This is me and grandma in the summer sun All dressed up the day we said our vows. You can't tell it here but it was hot that June That rose was red and her eyes were blue And just look at that smile I was so proud. (Bridge) F#m E D Thats the story of my life F#m E D E Right there in black and white (Chorus) If it looks like we were scared to death Like a couple of kids just trying to save each other You should've seen it in color. A picture's worth a thousand words But you cant see what those shades of gray keep covered You should've seen it in color
