This is my first tab, but I'm almost positive it's correct. Hazelton is a pretty
simple, beautiful song,
but I haven't seen it tabbed quite correctly anywhere else. If I do make a mistake,
feel free to send me
a message and I'll adjust the tab accordingly. This tab should follow the recording
exactly, but
I'll also post a simpler version at the end of this tab that will follow just the main
melody, so if you're
struggling with the recorded version, give it a look. The recording of this song
uses at least two guitars that
bounce between holding the melody and the harmony, but it's clear that some
harmonies are meant to be played
louder than the actual melody, so I've tabbed the most audible parts up in the
recorded version. All feedback
and rates are appreciated. Thank you, and enjoy. :)

-Standard Tuning.
-Capo on the first fret.
-Tab is relative to Capo.
-"<" means added emphasis on the note.

The whole song revolves around the A chord. Here are the five variations he uses.
(I don't actually know the chord names, so I'm just notating them as A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5.)

   A1 A2 A3 A4 A5

e|-0-----|-0-----|-0-----|-0-----|-0-----|B|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|G|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|-2-----|D|-2-----|-0-----|-0-----|-2-----|-0-----|A|-0-----|-2-----|-0-----|-0-----|-0-----|E|-X-----|-X-----|-2-----|-0-----|-0-----|
Here's a piece of advice. Although I know it's not the best technique, this is how you should finger all of these chords: A1 A2 A3 A4 A5
e|-------|-------|-------|-------|-------|B|-3rd---|-3rd---|-3rd---|-3rd---|-3rd---| Index = 1stG|-2nd---|-2nd---|-2nd---|-2nd---|-2nd---| Where Middle = 2nd,D|-1st---|-------|-------|-1st---|-------| Ring = 3rd, andA|-------|-1st---|-------|-------|-------| Pinky = 4th fingerE|-X-----|-X-----|-2nd---|-------|-------|
I know it's not technically the "correct" way of fingering them, but it allows you to root your middle finger on the G string throughout the entire song, and makes it possible to finger a 3 on the B string with your pinky finger without dramatically changing your finger position. It's much easier than switching your fingering every two seconds. Just be careful you aren't muting the e string with your palm. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hazelton (As recorded) The intro is played differently than the rest of the song. You'll only use this once, at the very beginning. The strumming pattern for most of the song is outlined in bars three and four, repeat it for every similar bar.

I've done my best to tab out the timing, but for the best results just listen to the song and figure out the timing yourself. Hope this helped! Once again, feedback and rates are appreciated. Thanks guys. :)
