Here are all the tracks to Lloyd Coles most recent album, Love Story. Enjoy

   Trigger Happy by Lloyd Cole
   From Love Story

This one is really simple as soon as you get the fingerpicking
pattern down, which isn't too hard. Sometimes in the verse,
Lloyd strums the Asus4 (or plucks it with his fingers) instead
of doing the picking pattern. Music theory people will notice
the major in the verse and a turn to the minor in the chorus
  -enjoy.

   Capo on 2nd fret

  *Intro*
  Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4

  *Verse 1*
  Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B
  i love your head

             Asus4 Dsus2
i love the way you hold your head

                   Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4
because you're young and you know it

  Dsus2 Dsus2/C#
   because you're young

  Dsus2/B Asus4 Dsus2
there ain't nothing you can't do

               Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B
   because you know

               Asus4 Dsus2
there ain't nothing you can't do

  Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4

  *Verse 2 (same as 1st)*
   i love your head
i love the way you hold your head
   because you know
there is no connection between old
   and what's new Dsus2/F Dsus2/Bb
and there ain't nothing you can't do

  *Chorus*

  Dsus2/C Dsus2/G
   oh, nothing at all

          Dsus2/F Dsus2/C
and you know that gun is loaded,

  Dsus2/G
   sure you do.
         Dsus2/F Dsus2/Bb
   summertime blue
  Dsus2/C Dsus2/G
   summertime blue
          Dsus2/F Dsus2/C
yes you know that gun is loaded,

  Dsus2/G
   sure you do.
              Dsus2 Dsus2/C# Dsus2/B Asus4
   if not for you.

*Verse 3 and Chorus (same as verse 2 and chorus)*
   the way you walk
i love the way you wear contempt
   for my sort.
oh, should i give you my money?
   a steady hand,
a little trigger happy angry? little man?
oh, pull the trigger take it all.

   oh, you take it all
and you know that gun is loaded,
   sure you do.
   summertime blue
   summertime blue
and you know that gun is loaded,
   sure you do.

*Verse 4 (same as other verse except where noted)

   i love your head
i love the way you hold your head
   because you're young
   and you know it
   a steady hand,

           Dsus2/C (hold)
  a little trigger happy

  *repeat verse chords*
and we'll tell you how to live,
and we'll take away the reason,
and we wonder why we wonder
how you're not the way that we were.

and we'll tell you how to live,
and we'll take away the reason,
and we wonder why we wonder
how you're not the way that we were.

and we'll tell you how to live,
and we'll take away the reason,
and we wonder why we wonder
how you're not the way that we were.

Love Ruins Everything Capo 4th fret This one is a little tricky to get the timing right - if you play along with the album it should come quickly. If tabbed out the verse and prechorus as I play it and it sounds pretty good. The Spanish like guitar part in front I haven't tabbed out, but if you mess around with it, its not hard. I like to play this one with my fingers and pluck the strings instead of using a pick also - allows for greater control over the strings. chords not tabbed D xx0232 C x32010 Dm xx0231 Dsus2 xx0230 C/B x22010 D5 xx023x Am x02210 Intro and verse riff

Unhappy Song This song is a straight bass note strum pattern after the first intro - the chords to the chorus are basically the same as the verse, except played in a different position - I don't know if this is how Lloyd does it on the record, but it sounds best to me - if it doesn't to you, try the verse chords over the chorus - both sound pretty close. For the walk up at the end of a stanza, use the G# as the bass note in the bass note chord pattern. Also, for the E, the strum is much shorter, to allow time for the walk up. There may also be a second guitar, playing the bass notes an octave higher to fill out the arrangement. *Capo 2nd fret* Chords E/G# 422100 E/G 322100 E/F# 222100 (or 2x2100) E 022100 F#m 244222 G#m 466444 *Intro* E/G# E/G E/F# E e f# g g# *Verse 1* E/G# E/G lucy jumped from the 39th floor E/F# E e f# g g# said she just couldn't face another poor man E/G# E/G every juke box stuck on the 'who's next' E/F# E well they almost got me when jimmy said *Chorus* E let's get lost go work on a farm F#m a change of weather couldn't do you no harm E let's get lost pick up your feet F#m don't tempt fate, boy, get a pair of cheap skates.
