The Dear Hunter - Misplaced Devotion chords

Capo on 2

For the verses, you alternate between D and a quick Dsus2 or D and A.
I personally like the sound of A better when you're playing it acoustic, but
either works. The strumming can be a little odd, so listen to the song for any help there.

Verse:
D A DHey Girl, lets lose ourselves today.
A D A DWe can go anywhere we need to get away.
A DSo say the word
A DAnd we'll turn
A D AAround and leave this place behind
Chorus:
F#m BmCome on, you're never gonna need him,
G A DThat's why you're in my room tonight.
F#m BmSo go on, you know you need it,
G A DThat's why you're in my room tonight.
Post-chorus ohs are just like the verse:
D A(or Dsus2)Ohhhhhh Ohhhhhh
Verse:
D A DI knew, you'd be coming back to me.
A D A DI never thought that you'd have the courage to ever leave.
A DYou
A DAre better off
A D ASticking right where you are.
Chorus (x2):
F#m BmSo come on, you're never gonna need him,
G A DThat's why you're in my room tonight.
F#m BmSo go on, you know you need it,
G A DThat's why you're in my room tonight.
Play D until Ohs actually come in, then: F#m D (x2) Bm D (x2) G A Then D until chorus Repeat chorus twice, but hold the last "room" of the the second chorus on an A chord Repeat first "Oh" break similar to the verse
