worth a read--no religious dogma here......check it out!:)
The Rock that Doesn't Roll

by Larry Norman

transcribed by Rusty Irons

E7

I was lost and blind, when a friend of mine,

came and took me by the hand.

        A E7

Then He led me to His kingdom, that was in another land.

        B

Now my life has changed, it's rearranged,

        A

when I think of my past I feel so strange.

E A

Wowie, zowie, well He saved my soul,

         B E

He's the rock that doesn't roll.

Chorus:

         A

He's the rock that doesn't roll,

         E

He's the rock that doesn't roll,

          B A

Well He's good for the body and great for the soul,

         A E

He's the rock that doesn't roll.

E7

I was all alone like a rolling stone,

I was going nowhere fast.

      A

I was on the road so far from home,

         E7

when the future touched my past.

      B

Now I feel so blessed, 'cause He gave me a rest.

      A

And I finally feel like I passed my test,

  E A

I want to be like Him, yes that's my goal,

            B E

like a rock that doesn't roll.

(Chorus)

E7

I was lost and blind when a friend of mine,

came and took me by the hand,

       A E7

and He led me to His kingdom that was in another land.

       B

Now my mind is blown, my head has grown,

        A

a Solid Rock and a rolling stone,

E A

Wowie, zowie, well the Cat's got soul,

         B E

He's the Rock that doesn't roll.

(Chorus)

Bridge:

A

He's the rock that doesn't, the rock that doesn't,

A

The rock that doesn't, the rock that doesn't,

A

You've got to rock me on the water,

A

You've got to rock me from the grave,

A

You've got to rock me till I'm feeling good,

A

You've got to rock me till, rock me till I'm saved.

(Chorus)

Hope you enjoy it's from the "IN ANOTHER LAND" album available
through most christian outlets by ordering though the Spring
Arbor catalog. Larry is one guy who has consitantly been
at the top with his music overseas, but ignored here inthe
states....He is the father of Christian rock none-the-less.
God Bless :) Rusty
