Play that part open twice, then go back to strumming the first part open twice more.
After that, go back to the part listed directly above (the second part) twice, and then the
song hits the chorus for the first time:

It plays that part twice. On the second time, hang on the E5 chord for just a bit longeruntil it drops out to just the drums and the vocals. At the end of the first line ofthat, a guitar comes in with a G5 chord, so be sure to play that. Then it comes back in with the main riff for just one time. Then it goes back to that pre-chorus part times two,and again to the chorus.
