For those of you watching Jules Holland New YearÂ’s EveÂ’s bash who were blown away by
SteveÂ’s performance on his 3 string guitar (his 3 Trance Wonder), hereÂ’s a simplified tab
one of his keynote songs, Cut My Wings, tabbed from the Belladrum Festival (see 'You
Tube' to watch the vid). IÂ’ve tried to come up with a simple way of reproducing this without
ripping off 3 of your strings. Basically, downtune your 5th string and ramp up your 6th string
so you have two bass G strings. It then kind of works as a hybrid open G tuning but, if
you watch the video, youÂ’ll see thereÂ’s a lot of improv around this as well. Guitar and amp
should be loud with some distortion to get the authentic 'messy' effect. If anyone can

Tuning: Tune 6th string up 3 semitones and the 5th string down 2 semitones
